This is a small mod to replace the category and forum descriptions with a link Title hover box.

Especially useful for sites with larger descriptions, the descriptions can cause the layout to look pretty messy, huge boxes here and small boxes there. This will remove all that untidiness from your forum home page.

These are Default vB4.1.3 Skin edits only, custom Skins may need a little tweaking.

You can see this in action here: Acock Implex Studio (http://www.acockimplex.com/studio/forum.php)

Great work, but it just looks bare without the descriptions. :)

If you mean the default Skin on my site, a public release version will be available to members of my site for a contribution soon, I am working on it now actually. :)

I wouldn't know how to be honest, .js is beyond me in truth, this is nice and simple as it uses the standard 'title' tag, it would make it 'eye-candy' with .js, that's for sure. ;)

I will do if I ever manage to iron out a number of small but annoying bugs.

Main one is, in Chrome the text gets underlined because Chrome treats it as a link. (Well I think that's the cause).

It's difficult to notice in my red colour scheme, you can see it better in others. But the giveaway is, letters like "g" have their tails cut off by the underline.

But, it is just a basic jQuery hover-over script customised with vB stylevars in additional.css.

Yes I think that's the one but I modified it quite a bit to make it do what I want. A variation of it is alos used on my thread previews.
