Vanishing Images vB 4.1.2

Hi all,

I'm not sure whether this is user error or an issue with vb 4.1.2 as I have googled searched and can't find an answer.

Basically, I can post in a image using a url pasted into the image option box. The image displays fine but then when I look on another machine say my laptop the image has gone? In Firefox it is not there but in IE9 it's a broken image?

When I go to edit the post the IMG tags plus URL are not there, but if I click on advanced editor the IMG tags plus URL reappear. If I click save the image still does not appear?

I have two of these forums, one upgraded from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 and does not have this issue and the other is pure 4.1.2 but does have the problem. Both are CMS editions.

I'm not sure whether I've missed a setting or something...but it's doing my head in!

Thanks Lynne, I think the issue is a red herring to be honest! The issue started when I was testing the site using openly available pictures from another website. I tried with pictures from another site - Ford Motor Company - and the pictures are staying as they should.

The only thing I can put this down to is that the initial site is breaking the linkback because the other pictures are fine.
