Are there any mods that do urls like those on VB4

ie

ive searched for hours but cant find any, unless i am missing the obvious.

What do you mean "mods that do urls like those on VB4"? There is a function that does it. Look in the APi (under Quick Links) for the function fetch_seo_url.

Are the seo urls available for VB3.8.7 ?

Ah, sorry, I didn't notice that this was in the vB3 forum. That function is not available in vB3. You would need to use some SEO modification to do what you want.

VBSEO is probably the most popular mod out there for "friendly URLs" in VB 3.8. However it is a commercial modification (costs money).

Zoints SEO (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=202739) is probably the most popular free option for VB 3.8.

Zoints isn't exactly the easiest mod to install though.

Also both options are known to cause some other mods to break. If you have any must-have mods already installed I suggest checking their threads to see if there are any incompatibilities with SEO products.
