What is this?
This mod will give you a custom privacy policy for your forum.

When you download the .txt file, you are allowed make any changes according to your site.

There is not branding free option yet so please don't remove the copyright at the bottom.

Yes you post the Privacy Policy in a section and then go to General Options in Settings in your AdminCP and then you change the Privacy Policy URL.

He wants you to pay him for something anyone could write or copy from anywhere and edit for there own taste. I consider this mod GARBAGE and should be removed

I won't argue with you there however considering there's other branding free mods that create a custom page which admittedly seems more professional (kwim?) it's hard for others to justify you branding this in a sense as it's copy/pasting into a new thread see their point?

This is just a means, like his other mod, at self promoting. Privacy policies and TOS pages can easily be acquired with no back links. You can also take this version that he wrote, rewrite it so it isn't plagiarism, and then legally remove the link.

I hate to say this, but if he is claiming this as totally original, then he is misleading everyone. I have seen some portions of this on other web sites in the past. Re-wording and shifting paragraphs does not make it original in any way, shape or form.

I see you removed your request for money to remove the branding, that was mighty nice of you. Go create something useful because these are the things we waste our precious minutes of life on. :eek: He has 59 people registered at his site, could this be an attempt to not only mislead people, but to get traffic to his site? oh hell, another 2 minutes wasted, im outta here!

Wait, so this is just a text file with a "custom TOS", but there's no mod? It's just the text to post in a thread? And you want $10 for "branding free"? What am I missing here? Early April fools?

Replace TOS with Privacy Policy.
