I'm trying to help a user who is unable to use his reset password. I'd like to impersonate the user to see if its just a user issue, however, where can I see his current password?

You cannot see his password. You would have to ask him for it.

Thanks Lynne. OK now that he has given up on accessing the forum, what's my options for helping him.

Usually when a person forgets their password and types an incorrect password; there is a link that says "Forgotten your password? Click here! The word "here" is the link to get their password reset.

Thanks White Knite. I've taken some screenshots of these fields and sent them to the user to help them reset their password.
While I have your attention (hopefully), do you happen to know the quick fix for changing thread/post order to "old first, new at bottom" for existing users > https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=2172652#post2172652

I am glad I was able to help you, vestaviascott. I don't know what version you're using, but I am using version 4.1.2 I think that version 4 is pretty much all the same.
Try going to MY SETTINGS -> GENERAL SETTINGS -> THREAD DISPLAY MODE -> LINEAR: OLDEST FIRST
That's how it is on my board.

Right, that's the user-defined setting for overidding the forum default setting.
What I'm trying to do, as the administrator and owner of the forum, is to set the default settings for ALL existing members.
Somehow, the default view for new members got set to "newest on top" and I have about 50 users on my pre-release setup that have this setting.
All my newly registered users have "newest at bottom", since I was able to change the forum default for new registrations once I found the the default was backwards.
I realize I could just send an email and tell them how to do it themselves, I just want to avoid the inevitable support issues it will create (and I don't like asking users to do something that I, as admin, could/should do myself).

Hmmm....
I'll have to look thru my admin CP for that.
