View Full Version : Showing a single post on the Homepage
Is it possible to show a single post on the non vbulletin homepage?
Kind of like a featured post, to have users get a taste of whats inside?
Can be used to spotlight coming event's post on the forum, for example, and be changeable whenever the next event or news comes up?
ive looked and cant find a mod to do this, part of the challenge is what could someone have called features like this
thanks

you dont use cms or what ?
I wasnt the one that originally purchased the license,
it appears ours doesnt have the CMS, its not the suite.
I just read up what the suite does, and it does that and more.
Is there a way to get just something like the CMS going for just that one page, or am I goign to have to pony up the $ to upgrade?
thanks

You could capture a thread in iframe i would think #4 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2171619&postcount=4) like grabing the singled out url

style="position:relative; left: 25px; top: px; width: 900px; height: 790px;" allowtransparency="true"></iframe></td>

thanks you can make a splash page that's a landing page that usually is the main domain www.yoursite.bomb (http://www.yoursite.bomb)
then your forums would be www.yoursite.bomb/forums/ (http://www.yoursite.bomb/forums/)
then just link to your forums to log in. you know I think vb advance (http://www.vbadvanced.com/)might even run without cms > not sure try that
