We would need to see the full error in order to help. When you get the error, view the page source for that page and you will see the actual database error near the bottom of that page. It will have some information like this:
The actual mysql query/code/problem....

What is the FULL error message? UPDATE searchlog is only the beginning. Please see my previous post for what I want. I cannot help you if you do not provide that information.

There is nothing I can do with that error. You will need to ask your host if you can actually see the real error somewhere on your server.

Server problems are really beyond the scope of this forum, as it's really only about vbulletin mods. It sounds like you're just making more errors, with the new "MySQL server has gone away" error. There's a whole page about that error over on vb.com somewhere, and who knows that might be the whole problem.

"MySQL Server has gone away" is a server issue. See this: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/troubleshoot_mysql_goneaway and this: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=310265#post310265 You will need to talk to your host about this in order to get it resolved. If the host is yourself, I suggest you read up on the error and the variables you will need to try modifying in mysql configuration file to fix this.
