sure just make a button in aps on facebook developers link. you can make a facebook ap page or u can just make a page for your forum and link to that or just a general link that will goto any ones facebook page and post it to theirs when they click it.

Luck facebook ap making is a pain

i'm not sure what you're looking for, do you mean:
a) a like function (as used on facebook) for profiles, threads, etc, but counts the likes on people' profiles without any relation to facebook at all?
b) a facebook like button that lists users from the forum that have clicked on facebook like?

@your24hourstore, i get that you're talking about facebook APPS but i also don't quite get how that will do either one of the things i believe he might be trying to do.

unm I think there is a mod that isn't related to FB it just posts the likes of a thread from other users! wonder if that's what he wants LOL, i will look for it

you can use the "thanks mod" and rename the word thanks
also vbseo now has a "like" feature
neither of those are tied to facebook

in Template: SHOWTHREAD
what im thinking is since rateing are really enabled . people just dont use them so if we modify the phrase in this section to show an image instead of the text rate this thread to an image like this

</form>
</li>
</vb:if>

<vb:if condition="$show['threadrating']">
<li class="popupmenu" id="threadrating">

</a><h6><a class="popupctrl" href="javascript://"><img src="/images/buttons/like.png" width="39" height="20" border="0" alt="like this!" />{vb:rawphrase rate_this_thread}</a></h6>
<div class="popupbody popuphover">
<form action="threadrate.php" method="post" id='showthread_threadrate_form'>would i just change the phrase to like from rate this thread and add the thunmbs up image inline?

lol very close but i think i would need css to lay the image over the word like to make it like I want it, but i actually like this better its allows the 5 stars or less this way

and that doesnt like to facebook your24hourstore?
whats that I don't understand, the stuff I posted is just a hack to the rate a thread option , you can see what it replaced in that area where its shown in that pic when used it just opens the rate a thread option and lets you select a rating, but hey I like it I'm going to figure out how to make it work inline with a transparent image and css, just haven't had time to research it. but it does work as is!

so no does not link in any way to facebook it just rates the thread

that's not very nice..

I've worked with the OP a few times and although he isn't the "conventional" client, he does pay and is a good person just new to vBulletin.

Here is the thanks mod, it even has "like" in the title
