I upgraded over the weekend to vB 4.x, and also had the Blog and CMS sections installed. Is there a place where I can read-up on exactly what they're for and how to manage them? Also, what does a sample of those functions actually look like in operation?
Any thoughts, ideas, and suggestions would be very welcome.
TIA!

For the blog, click on blog in your menu and then in the top right hand corner you will see "create new post". Write your blog and publish it and that's the blog.
The cms is a pain! Some of it is on the back end and some of it is on the front end. Basically, create your sections and categories on the back end under "cms". Then create your articles on the front end just like the blog.
Look up widgets on the vbulletin website.

So can individual members create Blogs? If so, how can other see them? Or must an Admin create a Blog(s)?
For CMS, what do you mean by categories and sections? Is there something I can read that tells me how to make use of it? Where does the content go? How can people read it?
Thanks!

any one you give permission to can create blogs, they can also create groups and create group blogs, they can also write articles to front page,if you allow it or you can promote posts to articles

So can other people comment on your Blog posts? If so, how do they read a specific person's Blog?

There's a commenting system built into the blogs. New blogs show in the "What's going on" at the bottom of the forum. And you can make a widget for them.
A blog is basically like a forum post except it's on it own special page and there's a commenting system instead of a post reply.
The cms is basically the same thing. It's all a hierarchy.
Here is my site, it's not much, blog is a blog. Home is the cms, forum is the forum.
