Ive read alot of info about stopping all this spam. Ive had my forums off while Im building them, and today I had them turned on for about an hour. I got inundated with spam. Obviously Ive done the necessary steps including human verification. My question now involves the use of paid subscriptions. 1st, Is this a good method for stopping spam?, Does subscriptions hurt your overall forum membership? what is "average" subscription price? Is it like 5 bucks a month? or 99 cents per year? Is there a minimum amount you can charge? Any subscription advice is appreciated.
