Weird issue with ..../ after a thread title

If the user starts a thread that ends in ..../ [page number] I get forbidden errors. I did some digging but the answer isn't obvious. Any ideas?

Actually it's any thread ending with periods behind the title

A quick search at vb.com for "periods title" kicks up a probable solution. In the second thread a guy says it's a server issue. I didn't read the first.
