I was wondering is there a way to show your forum description in every thread?

Also other than letting people know about the forum they are in what do you think the pros and cons would be of doing this, I notice namepros.com (one of the biggest domain name forums) does it, so they obviously like the idea, so I was just wondering what you folks think of doing this?
