Today I noticed there is a bug in the user profile options that leads to spamming in version 4.1.1

In my User Listing options the Home Page is turned off, but when I go to see the profile the Home Page is showing for this user: http://www.collegeforum.info/member.php/60-VernonFH

Attached is my configuration picture.

That is not a bug, that only stops it from showing in member list.
Use BOP mod to stop spammers from using the home page option.

This is a bug. If an option exists to enable or disable the Home Page field and I disable it, it should be disabled without any need for additional software.

In the link you gave me there is a text like this: It should work on other 4.0/4.1 versions as well.

I'm not trying to be a hard as[s], but in software there is no such thing as "should". I did not buy a license for a "should" work software. Some people run enterprise applications in this world, and can not take the risk of breaking it with a "should" work patch.

When I purchased the license I was told the feature to turn off home page exists. Now we have a forum full of shills from China and Germany. This is a bug and it should be fixed in an emergency fix. This is big. How did that pass a formal QA process is beyond me.

Btw, thanks for the link. Of course I'm not angry at you.

I know what you are saying. But, this is not the right place to request a bug fix.

That option you are looking at specifically says "What user profile fields should be shown on the member list page?" It says nothing about the profile page.

If you wish to make a Suggestion, or file a bug report (which I don't think this is), then you need to do so at http://tracker.vbulletin.com/secure/CreateIssue!default.jspa
