So - I ((for the first time EVER)) chose to ignore a luser. But I'm still seeing his posts in the list of new posts and in the list of unread threads in the paid requests area.
Is this a bug within vBulletin? Because it seems to me that if you ignore a user -- the functionality would prevent the users posts/threads from showing -- then you should not see any ignored users' posts in the list of threads.
Thanks :)
Jacquii.
You're right it's broken because I'm reading your post. :p kidding!

AFAIK, its not designed to exclude them from searches or thread listings like that (certainly not in 3.6, and probably not in 4.1). You just wont see their posts when you view the threads.

in search, the only persons ignored are the guys in the global ignore coventry...
in forumdisplay, if the author of thread is ignored by you, it is supposed to unlist the threads, showing them in the ignored style.
this is structured that way since 3.7... don't know for 3.6, it's too old and obsolete and not supported anymore anyway... rofl

hmmm- this is an old bump - don't know how I forgot about this thread...
Anyway - It would be ideal if the ignore user functionally actually allows for complete and total ignoring of a user. I'm pretty sure there's more than a few who would like to use the functionality for my crazy ass....
At anyrate - perhaps I might suggest the idea over at vbulletin.com - as if they don't have enough going on, trying to salvage the mess that had been vB 4 gold.
