I have searched high and low on this site and Google for the answer on how to remove the collapse_40b.png image from all sidebar blocks I add. I can not find the temp plate to edit this setting on Vbulletin 4.1.1 Please help. Thank you in advance.

Do a Search in templates for "_40b.png" and you should find them. (Or just edit all block_* templates.)

This file is in a lot of places. I do not want to remove it from the forum itself I only want to remove it from the sidebar blocks. I am using the new 4.1 and things changed so much from our old 3.5. On the old one there was now problem writing code but now the new one makes you use the forum blocks and it auto adds this collapse button. There has to be a way to just take it off the forum blocks?

Then just remove it from the templates that start with block_*

Have them clear their cookies. Or, you will need to edit the template and remove "collapse_block_" from the id (leave it with just the html_xx).
Thank you Lynne but i dont understand, what i must edit and where ?

The easiest thing to do is ask the users to clear their cookies. Otherwise, you will need to make this template mod everytime you do an upgrade. You need to edit every block_* template and look for something that looks like this:
<a class="collapse" id="collapse_block_blogentries_{vb:raw blockinfo.blockid}" href="{vb:raw relpath}#top"><img alt="" src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_button}/collapse_40b.png" id="collapseimg_blogentries_{vb:raw blockinfo.blockid}"/></a>
I *think* you can just remove the collapse part and you will be fine. So, something like this:
<a class="collapse" id="blogentries_{vb:raw blockinfo.blockid}" href="{vb:raw relpath}#top"><img alt="" src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_button}/collapse_40b.png" id="blogentries_{vb:raw blockinfo.blockid}"/></a>
I haven't tried any of this, so you may need to play with it to get it correct.
yes the easiest way i think is to ask users to clear their cookies, i am sure i will forget theses modifications in the futur upgrades
thanks lynne
