Removing Or Hiding Forum Tab

I would like to either remove the forum tab as I only want it available some time later on this year.
So can I remove it and stop any body getting access to the forums or can I disable or switch it off… or is there a mod that will allow this

I have searched but strangely cannot find anything

Please explain more about it..... what forums tab are you talkin about ? is it the one below the banner?
