Is there a way to mass promote threads into cms

just installed vb4 with cms, i used to have news forums on the old vb with sub domains grbbing the threads as news, now using the vb4 with cms, is there a way/hack /mod etc to allow mass promoting to the cms ?

any ideas or help would be awesome, one article at a time just isnt doable when u have 40,000 news items
