Icon Next to username.

I'm trying to insert an icon next to the username, but I manage to insert the image, but the username disappear ..

This is what I'm trying in, Usergroups >> Usergroup Manager >> Edit Usergroup-->Username HTML Markup
<img alt="" src="/vb/images/star.png" alt="" border="0" /><span style="font-weight: bold; color: #00ff00;">

but is not working....

Any hep will be very much appreciated....
