I'd like to develop a forum section - or something else depending on your suggestions - in 4X that will allow users to register using their zip code and have access to a page that has all the local discounts to their zipcode. Ideally, after inputting their zipcode during registration the user would access a place in vbulletin and it would automatically list local discounts possibly by category like restaurants, housing, contractors, etc. Any thoughts?

YIKES! That would be huge! The only way I can think of doing that without a custom script of some kind would be to make a forum area for each zip code, hide them so you do not have a zillion forums on your front page, make a usergroup for each zip code, add a zip code profile field that is mandatory to answer when they sign up and then when they sign up and verify their account you would have to manually move them to the zip code usergroup they put in their profile. that creates a huge amount of forums, usergroups etc. That is the only way to do it yourself. otherwise your best bet would be to hire a php coder for the job.

Solution found: I'm using one of the form mods that exports data into a table. Thanks.
