Hi all, just looking for some feedback on my Mommy forum in regards to design/layout, ease of use, navigation (I changed how the navbar links are organized), and overall organization. What are your thoughts??

Thanks in advance!

A great fresh design, I wouldn't have known it was vBulletin at all besides the copyright!
A couple of things- I noticed that the content is wider than the window on my browser- although the content is centered there is a horizontal scroll bar present- even though you can't see anything wider than the forum content there is obviously something invisible throwing off the width.
I would consider putting your "settings" and "my profile" options in the navbar inside conditionals so they don't show to guests (who can't use them anyway.) Maybe show instead another "Register" link or whatever you think is best... maybe even keep the word "settings" but in the drop down menu simply a "Please Register to use this feature" link...

BirdoPrey5, thanks for the feedback! Can you post a screenshot to show me how the content looks on your computer? I think I know what you mean, but I just want to make sure before I start editing things.
In regards to the "settings" and "my profile" options shown to guests, I thought about only showing the menus to members, but then I figured maybe more people would sign up if they could see what features were available to them, ya know? It seems to be doing well this way so far, so I think I will leave it like that for now. I appreciate the input though!!

I like the layout and colour scheme, although with adblock running there's a few bits that don't align properly or just have empty space because the ads are missing.
I've also got the horizontal scrollbar (screenshot (http://www.abandonedwarehouse.co.uk/stuff/screeny.png)), which I think is coming from the table containing the 'advanced search' box.
Overall though it's good :)

The screenshot Beev posted is exactly what I see- and yes it looks like the issue is the advanced search code...
Something in or around here...
<table cellpadding="10" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="1014" align="center" style="position:relative; top:40px; left:772px;">

Beav, thanks for the heads up about the missing ads, I'll have to look at my ad server settings and figure out what's going on there.
I also never even noticed that I was getting the horizontal scroll bar on my computer too! Duh. You guys were right that the problem was in the "advanced search" table. I fixed it now.
Glad I asked for feedback or I never would have noticed this. :)

good looking design. nice color combination. liked it :)
it seems that right side bar size is big, probably it can be reduced little bit to give some more space for the forum section.
good luck :)

jbird,
Beev was using adblock which is an add-on for some web browsers to block advertisements from showing on pages- it's nothing you can fix on your server... it's intentionally being blocked by his browser. Personally I don't think it's the admin's job to make sure things look good for people choosing to use adblock... maybe a message somewhere in small print that says "For best veiwing experience please disable adblock."

AdMuncher is another ad-blocking program that works in most browsers. I wouldn't be without it.

I like the design, its nice. The background is too bright for my taste but it fits what your forum is about. Overall it looks pretty good.
