Isnt there a way to set this globally? My board has over 54 Forums. Imagine how much work this is.

When you install, autmatically set to post min chars value.
So, before install change post min chars value and then install.

Works great in VB 3.8.1. I changed the post min chars post value before importing it and that also worked great. Personally I've set my minimum value to 100 characters.

Can you post a bit more accurate info? Thanks.

Before installing, go to ACP-> Settings-> Options-> Message Posting and Editing Options and change Minimum Characters Per Post.
Then install product, it will set by default that value. You can change back after installation.

This mod sounds great but doesn't work for 4.12 for me. Anyone know a fix for this or a similar mod? Thanks

Just doesn't work. I set it for 25 min characters in the new line in forums it makes but still counts a post under 25 characters a post in a users post count. What I am trying to do is not count a smile post only towards a user post count. This seemed like it would work but it isn't for me. This mod is 3 yrs old so not sure if a update is needed.

From what I see, if you only post characters, it works, if you post a smiley, and some characters it does not work.

Actually, it don't work if the smiley is the first thing in the post.

Ok I found a way around that, edit each of your smileys and wrap them with img tags like so.

Sadly, this is bugged :(
I was hoping to use this with my forum.
If you soft-delete or delete a post that didn't count, it removes it from your post count, anyway.
For example:
Minimum Chars is 10..
"Hi there! I'm bob." - Post count goes +1, is now 1
"Hello" - Post count is still 1
"Welcome to the board!" - Post count is now 2!
Mod deletes "Hello" for rule violation.. User now has post count of 1.
Our mods soft-delete, so we can't use this unless it's fixed. :(
