Ok i own a UBB licence and a VBB one. i like both Boards but on my server they don't allow UBB as it eats their resources :D so i have to use VBB, now the question, is there an easy way of converting UBB hacks into VBB ??? as there a number of Hacks on my other board that i like and want to use on my VBB.
Thanx for any help :)

There is no easy way to convert hacks since UBB is in perl and vB is in php. One is flatfile the other database driven.
BUT you will find that most of the hacks are already made or in the process of being made. Just tell me some of the hacks and I will tell you if they have been made already.

for the most part.. the if else statements and everything can stay the same the rest will have to be converted to database... or file calling.. it is possible, but can be a pain if you don't know perl and php very well hehe

ok the first one is a login in screen, i found this very handy as i just gave the user and password to certain Clan Teams to log in with, and it didn't matter if they put the url on the index page in it should just kick you back to the login screen..
I've attached the login.zip if it helps ??

ok no need to make this a hack.
This can be done with styles and usergroup persmissions.
Go to the control panel and then to User Groups and Persmission click edit next to the Unregistered / Not Logged In group and set permission to view board to no.
Then go to styles and add multiple styles and just link to index.php?styleid=1 or styleid=2 and it will load the appropriate style for login page and in fact the entire board for the styleid selected.
This is the easiest way to do that following modification.

Sorry to be a pain in the ass :( but i haven't a clue when it comes to creating styles and stuff like that, i just don't know where to start.
Is there a step be step guide ?? or a lesson thingy mer bob somewhere i can read up on ??

Styles are just the colours that vBulletin uses look at the bottom of your control panel, you will see Styles. Once you click modify you will be shown a table with only Default in it probably.
Copy the style using the copy feature and rename it if you click Fonts/Properties/Colors you will see what is there. Its basically header, footer, font colours and url to reply topic logo and closed buttons.
