I hope I am in the right place to post this.
Several months ago I purchased Vbulletin's message forum 4.0 for my web site; truchristianchat.net. I am for the most part, pleased with it. It is very extensive and I am learning as I go. I didn't realize knowing PHP was necessary.
All that being said; I purchased chat room software from 123flashchat.com for my site. It is compatible with Vbulletin, Which is why I purchased it.

I had a hard time getting to know how to get the full version to work, but now it's up and running. The problem I am having now is this: For a while the chat room was working, then just wouldn't connect. I contacted my hosting company and they helped get it working right. But now there is at least 1 member who is not even listed on the members list, and his posts have disappeared. Yet he remains listed on my admin panel. My hosting company, which is Host Gator, suggested it may be a permissions issue.
Can someone tell me how to see the permissions and hopefully correct this?
Thank you in advance.

Whiteknite,

If it's a plugin then it can be usergroup permissions or something in the settings for the mod etc.

Try

AdmincCP > Settings > Options > *Now look for one with flashchat as the title, edit and see if there's any options you need to change.

If that's not there or not it it could be usergroup permissions so try:

AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > *Now edit one like Registered Users and see if there's any options for flashchat, if so edit accordingly then if there was an option for flashchat ensure your other usergroups are setup correctly.

I would try to offer more advice however it's been ages since I've dealt with flashchat however I know it's usually something with a setting in one of those areas when it's permissions ;).

I am beginning to think this is a coding problem! I went over all the permissions you suggested and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.
I remember something like this happening once before and that turned out to be a coding problem. Someone on my staff tried to make a change and put HTML in the wrong place, breaking the Forum in the process. That time HTML was mixed with PHP.
I can't remember where to find the coding, though. I know it will be in Host Gator's file Manager somewhere. I will need to spend time searching there.
