Make private for certain gender

I have a male dominated organization and my vbulletin site will be equally predominantly male, however, I would like to have a forum for women only, I dont want men to be able to see it or post in it. I can go to admincp>profiles or something and set it so that only those who have permission to access it can access it, but I guess Im not exactly sure how I would do this. I coould create a profile field for gender, but how would I get it to allow automatic access for women to access the womens forum? Is there an easier way to achieve what I want?

Yes, two usergroups. Woman and Men would be your best bet. If you use a profile field such as Men/Woman and decide to use conditionals then you will be able to hide the forums from the opposite sex but it doesnt prevent posts in there from showing up in What's New? nor does it prevent the opposite sex from replying to threads. Usergroups and Forum permissions per usergroup is your best bet. You need to have a required field on registration - Male/Female and figure out how to put a user in a certain usergroup depending on how they answer the "Sex:" question.

Have you tried a search? This topic has been brought up before - forums only for male or female members. Try a search on "gender" or "female" or similar and you should find the threads about this.

How will you be handling gays and lesbians? Will you make the gay guys join the women? Or disallow them from participating?

its interesting you ask that, but Im afraid you wouldnt like the answer, I believe that males are males and females are females. Maybe you dont, Not to go off on a tangent here, but this is alot of what my site is about, I believe in heterosexuality, and the core of my organization, the reason that it exists, is to subvert the warping of America. So like I said males are males and females are females.
