Reduce Header image

I've tried and tried with no avail to reduce the header image. I upload smaller kb images,but the header is still way too tall. What else can I do? Thanks

Are you using an IMG tag to place the header on the page? If so you could use the height attribute (http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_img_height.asp3) but watch out for jagged edges or loss of clarity. It might just be better to make the image the size you want rather than trying to height it.
