and this error comes up on top of my forums

Please note that if a modification/style is unsupported (or even if it says it is supported), you may be on your own if you chose to install it.

The mod you linked to is for vBulletin 4.x, this forum is for vBulletin 3.x questions. If you have 3.x I wouldn't expect it to work at all.
