How to search for a 3 character term...

Search is limited to words 4 characters long and over. I need to temporary be able to search for a 3 character word. How do I change search to allow me to search for a word like "cow" for example.

Are you using mysql fulltext searching? If so, read this (you need to modify your my.cnf file and rebuild the search indexes) - Changing Minimum Search Characters (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/main/options_search_minchars)
