seperate blog from forum

I have a question regarding the usage of the blog portion of the suite. I am curious if it is possible to direct just the blog portion to another domain separate from the domain the Forum is listed upon. I would like to utilize the blogging feature of the software without it being associated with the Forum aspect. The forum is closed and my members greatly appreciate their privacy. They would like to utilize the blog if it could remain a separate entity. I am willing to purchase a entirely new domain for this purpose if that is what is required.
