I recently installed a new vB4.x Suite/Forum on my Site, currently in development. Every style I try that supposedly works with CMS and Forum, the Skins only show on the Forum. But on the CMS it always only shows the standard Skin. Even if on the bottom i choose (in CMS) the other Style, it still only loads the standard skin. Is there somewhere a setting where I can change the skin for the CMS than just for the Forum ?

Or what am I doing wrong ?

Did you download the forum-only skins, which only provides style to the forum area. Or the Suite Skin, which also applies to CMS and Blogs? Most skins are only for forums, because a lot of users haven't upgraded yet. But, use the prefix to sort by suite skins under the Style section on vbulletin.org

Also make sure under admincp that you havent limited users ability to choose other skins in each area (forum, cms etc.). Personally, i choose to use a single default style for all users, so i lock those areas down so they can only use what i provide.

Did you edit the CMS section (hover over section title, click edit pencil) to have Style > Inherit instead of set the Style to some other style? If you have it set to always use some other style, then that is what will always show when you go there.

For example I downloaded that skin.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=248257

Which is from what I can read for both, CMS & Forum. So I set the Forum to that theme, and in that "HOME" tab I set the Theme to be "inherit". But still, didn't had the new Theme for the CMS. Because my new Site is still in progress and basically a re-import of old Users & Posts of my old one, I checked my profile in the AdminCP and it was set to "Default Skin" which I think is ok, since the theme above is set to "Default" for my board now.

Only when I changed the Theme for my Profile in AdminCP, to the new one, then I can see it in the CMS. But that would mean i would have to set either every other user to that Theme as default or I dont know how else.

Its all very confusing. In every other Portal or CMS System the Theme you set as default, also shows as default for everyone. Here it seems all weird different.

Where did you set the forum to that theme? And do you have a checkmark next to that theme in the Style Manager?
