Can someone tell me what this error means?

Hi, recently I'm starting to get a lot of database errors emailed to me. I'm running VB 3.8.4. Anyone know why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

Database error in vBulletin :

mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)

So basically it's because the server keeps crashing (host issue), I guess.

It is a server issue and you should talk to your host.

Yea Ive tried that, but according to them everything is always 'fine'. :rolleyes:
