Hello,

I get a strange error....

OK so I am logged in as admin and I type word "test" or the word "testing" into the search bar and I get this error.

Fatal error: Call to a member function allow_icons() on a non-object in /home/pforum/public_html/vb/legacy/thread.php on line 185

I log out and type the words "test" or the word "testing" and it shows up fine....

I login as a normal user and do the same and it works fine....

Any ideas???

Danny

Sounds like you didn't run Rebuild Search Index until it completed. Run it, and when you think it has stopped, check your error_logs to see if there is an error (like a timeout error) and then start it again from around where it stopped. Rinse, Repeat until it is really done.

It could be you aren't logging all errors. How many rows in your post table? How many rows in your searchcore table?

I'm talking about your database. How many row in the post table and how many rows in your searchcore table. If you allow searching in all forums, then you should have more rows in your searchcore table than in your post table. It's an easy way to check and see if your actually finished reindexing your site.
