Hi,
Is there currently a way to get an instant notification of new issues created in Project Tools?
Also, if the above is possible, is there a way to modify the email template so that the email can be automatically parsed by Jira to create a jira issue?
Thanks,
Farhad

You can subscribe to a project to receive digest new issues.

But that only sends emails once a day minimum. Is there a way to subscribe for instant notification?

Per issue, not per project. This could be added in a future release :)

Yeah that would be great.
This will allow Project Tools to be used as a support ticket system where a project owner can get instant notification if customer creates a new issue.

I have actually had this hardcoded into a vBPT install for a few months.
I will see about getting it into the core.

@ ClipBucket: Do you want to release your code as a mod here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=245&threadprefix=vBulletin+Project+Tools
This way we don't have to wait till a PT release goes out.

I agree with farhad. PT updates are fairly slow so it would be great if you could share your code so we can make the changes ourselves while we wait for it to be officially part of PT

All the members of the PT team are volunteers and donating their time to put out a product. Please don't expect the team to put out releases monthly.

As Project Tools is now Open Source, you are free to do an SVN Checkout, to get the latest development code, using the instructions here: http://www.vb-os.com/content/123-Download
It should be noted, however, that checking out from SVN and using it in a Production Environment is not supported, as it's not deemed stable.

Those instructions should work, but I'm not 100% I was in the right mind when I wrote those.

I'll draft up some easier instructions shortly. :)
