View Full Version : Strange Styling Issues V4.0.8

Just upgraded from v3.5x to 4.0.8. Everything is working okay apart from one thing.

When viewing the home page everything displays as normal and all styles are loaded. If I navigate to my forums pages or any other pages (Blog, What's New) the common CSS for the header/navigation/footer is gone.

The navigation appears as an un-styled list and the styles for the page heading are gone too. Strangely enough the middle part that displays the forum categories and threads seems to be being styled ok.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening. I thought the CSS files in the header include were global? It appears that the CSS to style the navigation isn't being loaded on anything but the home page.

The theme is the default VB4 theme with no mods.

Thanks on advance.

Andy

You are missing the headinclude template in the problem pages.

Create a new style with no parent:

Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
Save

Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

Same problem. How can I get headerinclude back into the other templates? I had thought that might be the case but it appears that there is an issue with the default template that is generated.

Thanks

Do I need to try and upload the files again and then re-create a theme or is it more complicated than that? Are the default templates generated during the upgrade?

Traced the issue to an old plug-in Thanks! Mark as
