Embedding videos

I am just looking for a simple effective plugin that can convert video links and embed them into the thread.

For example, if I have a link which ends with /video/2010/clip.avi is there a way to copy and paste that and make it stream in the thread?

For a more specific example, on this site (http://www.thepsychologyforum.com/local_links.php?catid=1) there are videos and when you click the videos, they stream using a player. That's what I want but capable of doing it in a thread...

You need a mod called "AME" (Automatic Media Embedder) 2.5... in addition there is an add-on for that mod to play local files. Do a search in the 3.8 mods forum for "AME".
