I visited your site... The style seems pretty average and at the moment the content isn't appealing to my needs so I didn't really have anything to say.... certainly nothing "wrong" with it though.
Just for the heck of it I followed two links on the top two posts in your lounge... the one for batteries was sold out and the one for a netbook linked to a dead page. I realize these may be posted by other users so it's hard to ensure quality and that deals do sell out but as someone just browsing trying to make a mental determination as to whether it's worth it to bookmark this site it doesn't send a good vibe.

Yep, you were absolutely right. This is going to be a common issue across my forums. We are planning to implement a process of modifying the thread title in the future with the prefix of "EXPIRED" or "DEAD" so that user won't be disappointed.

I'm not really sure what to do to improve, custom isn't always better- I could suggest some custom status icons maybe but do i really think they are necessary? No... The forum defaults are pretty good for a lot of sites, you're not a gaming site or an artsy site where these things are expected. Your claim to fame will be your content so I think policing that it going to be the best bang for your buck.
I just went to your free stuff section, clicked on the most recent thread- one for Free Dole Fruit bites posted yesterday and unfortunately they are already out of stock... I can see there are going to be a lot of time wasted following dead links.
I don't know your personal coding skills or financial resources but an investment in time and/or money for a mod where people can report right on the post a "thumbs up" if they were successful at getting the deal or a "thumbs down" if the deal expired might be a good investment - perhaps with the display of the last date/time it was successful somewhere in the postbit would be a big time saver for the members.
The thread prefix isn't bad but will be a pain to keep up with IMO.

Wow...very good thoughts...thanks for your time again...
Sure let me focus on the content first...in the meanwhile i will try to find a suitable mod (for thumps up) or create a new one even though need to learn and do it. :)

well , here is my post a "designer"..((<-- emphasis on that please...)) , its very.. GENERAL , i dont see anything unique about it , it makes me wnat to leave the site as soon as i enter.. but thats just me.
Honestly perhaps you can do some more unique work to the header , logo , and colors .. its very dull, unappealing to the eye i'd say.. the content seems to be good , but you can definitely improve the site .. take a look around at your competitors , or similar sites .
My Suggestion is : Change up the logo a bit , make it more appealing .. it might just be me but those colors dont blend very well... if you are doing this on your own , consider taking some online tutorials on designing and choosing colors , it can help you a bit more... try pixel2life.com ..

Did some redesign work based on the reviews from different people...
1) Fixed the color scheme...based on the color scheme research...hope it looks good to your eyes :)
2) Did some page loading performance tuning.
3) Did revise the logo design. To make it to more related to the site. Price/Sale Tag indicates the purpose of the site. hope it make sense to you all.....

All,
Thanks for your review comments.
Did some research on what visitors like to see it on the deal site and refined our design to fulfill most of it:
1) Enabled header link as direct deal's link. It gives quick access to the deal.
2) Display retail/store price (striked out) along with deal price to price compare and make best decision.
3) Enabled store link on every deal (@ amazon etc). Users now can click on the store link to get all other deals from that store (Easy access to see what other deals from the same store).
4) Display of popular stores navigation menu for deals.
5) Display of deal categories.
6) Clear marking of ?Expired? deals.
Also, did some small design enhancements as well. I would like to hear from you guys, what other things could be helpful? Any feed back would be appreciated.

Really liking all the changes (the strike-outs, the expired message, and the store selection)...
I would maybe do something to tell people better clicking on the store in the store selector menu shows you deals only from that store- I was expecting it was going to take me directly to the store homepage itself.

BirdOPray5, thank you very much for your review and comments.
Now i have added useful title for the store name url link. It will provide a quick tip to the users when the hover on it. :)
