create template include like "$footer"

Hello,
i want to show the Forum sidebar also in the forumdisplay.php and showtherad.php and not only in forumhome..

i have created allready a template and pasted the sidebar code there.
now i want it include i to the templates forumhome dorumdisplay and showtheard like the "$footer"

the template name of my sidebar is "sidebar"
if i use $sidebar
its not apear... i think there is a shortcut or so missing that the "$sidebar" code work

you understand what i mean?

There is a mod that does this. Why don't you look at the code he used for it? (I think it's called Everywhere Sidebar, or something like that.)

There is a mod for vb3 also, I just don't know the name. Try a search using various terms.

Try searching "side*" in "all mods" "titles only" and you should find it.

There is some plugin code needed for displaying a custom template but I don't know it off hand, I've seen it posted here before though... You can't just make a template and use $templatename like you did- there's definitely a plugin needed.
