Hallo.
When I open the "Manage Attachments panel" I read: "Uploads not utilized within one hour will be deleted"
But this feature is not working!
All the attachments not used in any post are not deleted! And there is no way for me (the administrator) to cancel them.
Is it a bug?
Thanks.

How I can resolve this problem?
Can I change the attachment upload system?

You can change back to the old system in vboptions > message attachment options > asset manager - enable > no

OK. thank you.
I change back to the old system.
But I think that by this way the problem is only hidden.

Are your Scheduled Tasks working? One of the cleaner scripts should be going through and getting rid of unused attachments.
And what do you mean by attachments not used in the posts. Do you mean they are attachments not *attached* to any post/thread? Or do you mean they were attached but the user didn't then insert it into the post using the [ atttach] or [ img] tags?

I'm having this same problem, and many of my users are complaining. I guess it's not very important to the vB team, since it's been around a long time and it's a low priority on their tracker.
Say I wanted to disable the File Upload Manager as stated above. Those files are still going to be in the system taking up space and the users will not be able to upload additional files until they're deleted somehow, right? Or does it stop factoring unused images into a members quota when the File Upload Manager is disabled?

Attachments not used are deleted automatically by a Scheduled Task. If you have disabled the Scheduled Task, or done something so they are not running, then the unused attachments will not get removed automatically.

I use pictures in the cms on my 'news pages'. I update the pages regularly and a lot of them carry pictures. It seems that these picture stay somewhere on my server even after the news item has been deleted and I can't find a way of deleting them. My database is growing and growing and I am soon going to run out of space. Similar problem. What can I do?
