Image Mod - disable vb img option...

actually someone come up with this and I thought it was a good idea.

If this mod does not exisit, not sure if it does not not...

disable img option for VB so users can not allow external images.
add upload section so members can upload their images, then
link to them via the forum to show their images.

and a good reason I think behind this is once you allow external images, those
images can become broken, or be changed to vulgar type images at anytime,
or harmful code could be introduced into the images.

What do you guys think?

Harmful code can not be introduced into the images but your other points have merit. I'm pretty sure you can disable the IMG code without anything special... then add a new custom BB Code called something like and you'd make that bb code have your forum URL built in, something like:
<img src="http://www.juot.net/forums/picture.php?{param}" border="0" />

So it would hard code all images to have to be an image in one of your albums... then your users would just paste the URL after the "?" into the BB Code, so something like:
[localimg]albumid=1&pictureid=51

And that would show only images from your site/your albums...
