visitor messages like facebook?

Is it possible to turn the visitor messages page into a page with functionality like facebook? What I mean is ... Is it possible to make it so that you can post a message like you would on facebook and your friends would be notified that you posted a message just like they are if their is a comment on their picture or they have an email...they could then in turn respond to your message...

I'm just looking to get a little more facebook-like functionality on that part of the forum.

This mod allows you to tag people and then sends them a notifications they have been tagged,Maybe using it and @(Which is needed to tag another member) on the Vistor messages page for it would be a way you can do it as i haven't seen any other mod which can do what you ask at the min...
