Hi all,
Not sure if this is the correct area but will ask anyway.
Im running VB3.8.x and am looking to have a world map on my site where users can click on a country and then be taken to threads associated with that country.
Im willing to pay for something to be designed so feel free to contact me at: admin@aussietravellersforum.com.au
Thanks :)

Are your threads already in appropriate forums for each country?
Like USA forum, Australia Forum, UK Forum, etc.. ?
If so this could be fairly easily accomplished with what's called an "Image Map" ("map" having nothing to do with world-map in this case...)
Basically an Image Map is a graphic where different parts of the image link to different URL's so you could get a world map image and design it so clicks on various countries go to existing forums.

Can you please tell me how I can do this "Image Map"? I have all my forum threads separated exactly as you say.
This would be a HUGE help for me. Please let me know!!!

There are online tools for making image maps, like here:

Just one of many that came up in Google, I haven't used any in years and years.
Here is info about image maps in general: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_map

Hmm, but how would I do an image map with each country on a world map going to a separate page on my website?

First you get an image of a a world map-
Then you load the map into one of the "Image Map generators" online.
Then you spend a long time outlining each countries borders and assigning a link to each one.
Then you generate the code, copy it somewhere safe so you don't have to do all that work again, and finally paste it into a template somewhere- FORUMHOME most likely, so it can be used.

It looks like I can only outline the borders with rectangles or squares. Do you know if there is any way to outline them with my own lines so that I can do a real outline of the wavy borderline of each country?
And then do I enter the website link for each page of my website that I want linked to each selection, in the "Href" field of each selection?

polygon is also an option.
yes, href= link to each forum.

How can I do a polygon shape? I can only seem to do it as a square or rectangle....
Also where do I place the code in FORUMHOME? I would want to make it so that people can see it on the main page of my website because I want each one to connect with an article page I have on my website.

What site are you using to make the image map? On the one I linked to you can choose rectangle, circle, or polygon from the drop down menu.
In FORUMHOME where you think is best, probably under the navbar so below the line:
{vb:raw navbar}
