What Software Is:
Donation System LITE process', monitors, records donation payments. Looks like a great mod. I like the fact that it uses IPN.
I didn't see any mention of PayPal subscriptions in either your description or the screenshots. Are these not available in your product?

Remember the images are from v1.0.0 which is really really old talking 2 years ago. So if anyone has a guest access Donation System LITE out there I can use as an example please send through PM.

PRO uses IPN/API this is a LITE software and doesn't share one line of code with PRO completely separate software and not even on same level. Recurring payments is in PRO not in LITE as there is no IPN/API to track the recurring payments to notify you that payment recurring has been made. Also anyone referring to subscriptions payment please use the word recurring as they are completely two different things.

I have a Subscriptions System as well and it will only confuse me and others.

LITE is for sites with few donations as you have to manually confirm them. The intended purpose is to earn you enough money to purchase PRO and really start generating income for your site. Everything is automatic so you just sit back and collect.

I will have 4.0.2 LITE out today which fixes MGC EVO chatbox integration forgot to put the hook in LITE software. Also adds few nav items as I have Pirate Poker LITE coming out today as well as Credit Purchase System LITE today or tomorrow.

I've been waiting for a decent donation system for vB4 and this looks like it. Unfortunately though I'm having some issues with it.

First, I'd like to say that the issues are more than likely due to my site, not the product. =)

My site doesn't use the vB navbar at all, it's been completely removed and I manually add in links to my menu system (which is the way I like it). So I think that's part of the problem.

Typically I just create a link in my custom menu system to point to whatever PHP file and I'm good to go. However that doesn't seem to work here. When I visit awcl_dsl.php I get my header and footer, but no content on the page. If I try to go to awcl_payment.php it redirects me to my website root.

I'm running vb4.06, any help would be awesome. =)

I've got a problem atm with being able to access the donation system at all. I've activated it for the usergroups I want, turned it on, and yet I can't access it, I'm getting this message:

The administrator currently has the Donation System disabled or has disabled donations for your member group.

I'm getting no display on any of the navbars or navtabs (I'm using the sstab mod but that shouldn't affect other mods showing their nav items, I've no problems with other mods), and it almost seems like the whole system is turned off, even though it's switched on (and yes, I tried turning it off just in case).

Any ideas?

That's worrying that you could lose your access because a secondary usergroup isn't explicitly listed as having access permissions.

Anyways, more experimenting has perhaps drew out the bug. That's worrying that you could lose your access because a secondary usergroup isn't explicitly listed as having access permissions.

for the CMS widget, after a donation, I seem to have to clear the cache for it to appear. Is there a way to automatically do this?

You can go in the CMS widget settings for the donation widget and set 0 cache time.

I've managed to fix the issue (it was permissions, added myself to the moderated group accidentally :D ) but the unchecking on the allow access isn't working still...

I also noticed that the Donate page lists the various forms of payment. Seemingly it has a <li> contained within a <div> but not within a <ul> as it should be. This occurs in the We're PayPal Verified! section just below the header.

It seems it's not in the templates as far as I can see, so I assume it's more hardcoded, or phrased. Either way, it needs the <ul> tags to fit properly, and the page needs more padding added to some of the blocks.

Overall, love the mod so far... let's see the donations come rolling in... maybe. :)

can you send me screenshot of what you mean with the <li> stuff. screenshot of your site so I fully understand. As the paypal verified thing is at the bottom and you said it was header so presume you mean header text within that div. So again if you can send me screen shot will fix it right up.

that error is human error and does no harm. You put wrong data in field which is all back end and no harm. I can add a hey put that in wrong field or auto detect if you did and switch it. PRO has that but LITE doesn't will think of adding it.

The CMS don't show I missed putting the $show if statement around it will add in next version if you want to know the code I can tell you to add it now if you like.

Looks like the graphics aren't uploaded correctly. Where is the code looking for the graphic? Sometimes you can see by right clicking on the broken image to see it's location.

before making it visible to users I'd like to update the donation status manually.
I.e. I received some donations this year already. Just a few one, but I don't want t o miss them.

Where can I add the donating folks' usernames and the amount they donated ?

Also I'd Like to add a special signature to their nicknames automatically, depending on the amount they donated. (e.g. bronce, silver, gold, platinum).
In the past I did this by using titles and levels, which is quite an effort.

I don't mind to go for th epro version if this helps.

Sorry series 4 has new install/upgrade/uninstall system so basically just load the MAIN XML (product-dsl.xml) as override and it will auto detect the mod is installed and install the necessary stuff. Just make sure to drop the module files in the correct place and place the modules where you want to show them.

Go to your donation system LITE settings and make sure your HOME URL has a trailing slash.

awcl_home setting name it is in the MAIN section. Your just missing the / in that which needs to be there.

Transactions section first page has a drop menu second option is ADD :)

Awards is in PRO. Hands out awards per level. Also subscription system may be more what you want which I have as well which will hand out gold, silver, platinum, sponsor, advertiser awards etc. Check FC (http://www.forumcoding.com/) for that and demo (http://www.forumcoding.com/demo/) which will show you back-end admincp.

Great job on the mod. Just a couple of bugs on the layout for Firefox 3.0.19. Firstly the dropmenu overlaps and interferes with the menubar below it (in my case makes it difficult to select the 'community' drop-down), and secondly the goal message does not wrap at all which cause some problems in some layouts.

Any ideas on how I can sort the dropmenu issue?

Are donaters able to "opt out" of being listed as a donator? I have a few members who like to donate from time to time...but don't want the whole community to know how much and often they have contributed. How can I "hide" their donation activity, but leave it on for others?

They should be able to select disclose amount or not when making a donation, they can also select anonymous donation (i have the pro version but i assume its there in lite too), however you can set who can see the amounts, who can see doantions, who can.....just about everything in your Admincp awcoding settings.

LITE doesn't have that feature but if you want to manually edit the file for your personal needs that is fine. Go to awcoding/clientscript/methods/paypal.js Edit the link near the bottom:

I am having issues with this mod conflicting with vbadvanced. I am running vb 4.0.8 with vbadvanced 4.0.1. I was getting Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/***/public_html/portal/modules/navigation.php on line 96.

After a lot of uninstalling, reinstalling, checking templates. I decided to disable mods one by one to see if the error would clear. As long as this mod is disabled vbadvanced worked. If it is enabled it will show the above area as long as their modules (navigation, latest threads, etc..) are enabled. If their modules are all removed from the index page while this mod is enabled it will show but with no content since no modules are on the page.

I was using real Google, Confirmed, and USD. But my settings within Google Checkout needed to be adjusted.

I'm glad (kind of) that the Navbar issue is not just me & look forward to the update (fix).

OK just noticed another issue when you disable the lists option.

When you get sent a private message to say that a transaction has been placed and within this same private message there is a link to check this transaction as well as others. However when you click on this link because the lists is disabled you cannot view any of the transactions. As a message comes up saying.

"The administrator has disabled viewing of this page for your member group. If you feel this is a mistake please PM an administrator and let them know."

However once you enable the lists this page can be seen. But then the problem returns of the navbar button no longer working.

PRO does not: LITE and PRO share 0 code the same. PRO has a drop menu module system built into it. The LITE one will be fixed soon will be doing another upgrade as soon as I can get the free time away from PRO products and customers.

OK just noticed another issue when you disable the lists option.

You can edit the messages to whatever you want in the notification area. Go there allows you to edit them so remove the text and ink for now or customize any of them how you see fit.

However, getting providers to accept this is the problem. Google Checkout, AlertPay, MoneyBookers.... All seem to not like anyone using this unless you are an "official accredited charity"

So unless your site is collecting funds for something like cancer research & not the general up keep of your site... Expect to run into a problems.

That has to do with nowrap on the text for your description. Shorten it or put a html page break in <br /> and you should be fine will make change it in next version.

Yes this is known issue all you have to do is search zip for split( and replace with explode( wherever it is shown.

This is probably going to sound a little greedy... Eventually I do plan to upgrade to the paid version of this mod, to get all the nice little bells and whistles, BUT:

I feel like the option to automatically remove someone from your donation group at the end of their subscription period shouldn't be a pay only option. Is it that much extra coding or what? This is a feature that is a logical extension to putting them IN a group when they donate. At this point in our forum's lifecycle, I can't justify shelling out for the pro version of this app, but this one lacking feature is such a hassle to have to keep up with manually. The free version already has so many awesome features, I just wish this one more could get ported into it.

1.0.0 is not vb4 compatible that is why. You need to upgrade to latest version then upgrade vB without an issue. Always remember when upgrading to vB4 to globally turn off all mods in config file.

Looks like images are not present in images folder. hit me up to help you may need to drop the vb3 images into the vb4.

I replied in the other thread that is vBAdvanced CMS so what version are you on. His latest version could have added a field and causing the issue. Let me know.

Sorted this issue. The code was looking for a file that doesn't exist so created the file and added an image from another mod.

Are you using a custome style? If so you will most likely need to upload poll images to the custom style.

It has been a while but I beleive I uploaded a custom poll image that I made myself to the images/polls...
You may want to try that. PM me and I will send you the one I use. I am leaving right now however and will not be back till Sunday so you will have to wait unfortunately.

Be sure to check your "Bar Settings" as well and make sure you have the bar activated with proper priveledges and locations.

Hi,
I have running 4.0.2 quite a while.
Recently I had to add a transaction manually which worked, however I discovered the following.
Sometimes the paypal transactions just show a fee w/o amount, but payments are completed.
For sure there were no changes at the forum settings, so what can be the root cause ?

Another question is: how can I display that a user now has donated the third time (year).
I'd like to differntiate beetween showing a one timer and the ones donating year by year.

My case here is simple but maybe u can help me how to go with it.

In a country where most people doesnt own online funds, all donations are course given MANUALLY thru mobile phone money transfer and bank transfers. Maybe there is a way to disable all online transfer options and instead will be provided with a space (text messages) to give instructions on how donations will be accepted MANUALLY.

this mod is by the looks of it, is effectively dead, the backend part awcoding-backend has a phone-home system which is down so you can't alter any settings, the developer hasn't been on his own forum (for paid support) in two weeks and his last post there was 2 months ago

Thus, Adam is really not at fault when it comes to this software or PP. It is others who have dropped the ball leaving Adam facing criticisms and no way to handle the situation other then to try to bow out as gracefully as he can.

Seriously who cares about who runs the business we are customers not his companions! If the donations mod is broken or unstable and not talking about the light version here then it should be fixed minus all the personal or company crap... I try not to get that personal with people whom I buy stuff from so when they screw something up I have no feelings for them when I get excuses! You don't announce things if you are not sure if you are going to do it.

Does that excuse him from ripping off his customers? Me being one of them? I lost $200.00 to Adam and there is no way to recover it. that might not seem like much but it would cover the cost of other mods and addons.

If you want, use the lite version, the pro version is a risk since the owner is not providing support on a consistent basis.

Does donationspro have automatic confirmation or manual confirmation? That is my main concern/why I am not using AWCoding lite.

I just installed this on our vb4 forum, and it shows up and works great.

The only problem I'm having, though, is that it is causing a TON of database errors with pages not loading and the site running much slower.

Has anybody else encountered this, and what is the solution?

If there is no resolution, I'll be forced to uninstall.

Adam, I'm getting sick and tired of problems where something happens on your server(s) and I'm not able to use the software I paid you for.

Once again I'm locked out of the admin end of the Donation system. I can't change diddly squat.

This has happened numerous times before and I'm complained to you and so has many other people on your forum. And you still insist to keep control over the back end panel.
WHY?
We've paid you the money. It's not a subscription. So why keep this level of control?

Just installed a test VB 4 site using my DB from VB3.8 that has the 3.8 version of this script. I want to go to VB4 and and use this script and not loose any donators in the process so basically i am doing a test run...

The mod is marked as not supported,but it could be supported..Depends on how the coder feels.Then again seeing he took a lot of money from people including me and the boat sank,I doubt you'll see him here again..

This was actually a long and painful process for me.

What I did was export the 3 awc database tables (awc_subscriptions_data, awc_users, awc_payments) in csv format then manually transformed them into the default vb tables(subscriptionlog, paymenttransaction, paymentinfo). I had to use a few different vlookups, create new columns, delete some, rename, etc. After I was done transforming everything in excel, I truncated the 3 vbulletin tables and imported the new ones I created.

In the end, everything worked out perfect! I felt like I finally got rid of a virus that was slowly breaking my system.

I hate it when people host images for a mod somewhere other than vbulletin.org. It seems they always end up moving them or deleting them and the mod then has no images. That is currently the case here. smh

Make sure you wiped all the Aw Donations files in your forum folders and there is nothing regarding the AW Donations in your plugins

Delete your forums cache when done...

This Plugin should be removed from vbulletin.org since DragonByte took it over fixed it made it better and renamed it...

If I understood well reading their announcement (but English is not my best), it effects only Website Payments PRO and not Website Payments. The difference is that with website payments PRO you must have your own merchant account and payments are done in your own site. In PRO there is no redirection to PayPal that's why they want the access to their API to be SHA-256. For this reason there is that "Merchant.....". But again I can be mistaken.
