Can't Post URL / Images until X Posts

How can I make it so the users cannot post URLs or images until they have X posts? We have tons of spammers every single day and it is getting out of control. I think this would be a good start.

Any other ideas to curb the spammers would be greatly appreciated as well! How the hell are they validating their email addresses?

There's a mod that does just this, I believe.

There's also a nice mod called "Prevent Spam" which can automatically send posts with links (or whatever other keywords you specify) to the moderation queue when made by new users.

Unfortunately I've found spammers just make more posts until some show- it's like they know how many they need to make before their links show up.
