Favicon in vB 4??

Hi.

I know this may sound a little stupid.

But where do I find the part for the favicon on vB 4??

I can't seem to find where it is, or where I would need to edit something to get it to show up.

I'd appreciate any help.

The best way would be to upload your favicon.ico in the root of the /public_html/ or /www/ folder in your server space and it will appear automatically in every page/orl of your site. You can delete the favicon.ico that comes with vb or if you want your favicon.ico to appear only at your forum then overwrite that of the vb with your own.

My forum directory is /forum

So I'm not sure if uploading it to my root directory would work.

If you upload it to the root it will appear everywhere :)

Sorry to hyjack the thread but I uploaded my new favicon to to the forum root and it hasn't shown up. Yes I renamed it to favicon.ico.

Try to clear the cookie/browser's cache and restart the browser and see if it will appear. Because sometimes it doesn''t appear imemdiately.
