its just alt text for the software.
goto stylevar/Style Manager/
under style manager drop down open edit templates, and open the header template, if you delete it you will have some problems, and be aware that any future updates may rewrite it or force you to revert to the old template, even because of this small rewite, so best you can do without really knowing what your doing is just rename the vb part to your site name, makeing sure not to modify <div><a name="top" href="{vb:raw vboptions.forumhome}.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}" class="logo-image"><img src="{vb:stylevar titleimage}" alt="{vb:rawphrase x_powered_by_vbulletin, {vb:raw vboptions.bbtitle}}" /></a></div> put your info were the old info is like powered_by_yoursiteinfo.

Who doesn't like it?

You're totally allowed to change that. The bit you can't change is the Powered by vBulletin in the footer.

To change the vb logo with your own, either rename your own logo vbulletin4_logo.png and upload it at the mics folder inside the /images/ directory overwritting the vb logo here, or go to the titleimage stylevar and change it from there. Either way should work fine.

If you want to link the forum logo to another site, like if you are using wordpress for your blog...

Just replace this part of the code with your site URL... {vb:raw vboptions.forumhome}.php
