Entertonement.com BB Code - Embed Movie Sound Clips (BBCode)

Entertonement.com (http://www.entertonement.com) is a website with a vast collection of audio clips from your favorite movies and other sound bites- such as "Luke, I am your father..." from Star Wars or the Joker asking "Why so serious?" from the latest Batman film. All your favorite lines are probably there. (Not limited to movies but they are my favorite).

You can embed their files in your forum with this BB Code... I had to make some changes to their default embed code but it works well.

This has been confirmed working in the latest releases of IE, FF, Chrome, Safari, and Opera.

When you find the audio clip you want click on "embed" and look for the "Link" URL such as:
http://www.entertonement.com/clips/xybpjkbfks--Luke-I-am-your-fatherMovies-James-Earl-Jones-Darth-Vader-Star-Wars-Episode-V-The-Empire-Strikes-Back-

The only part of URL you need is the code after "/clips/" in this case: xybpjkbfks

Joe, can you help fix the BBCode. Looks like Entertonement.com has been taken over by Hark.com and the codes are now changed.

I'm sorry, it looks like Hark's code would not be compatible with a simple BB Code. Do you use the AME mod? I could try making a definition for that.

Actually it looks like this BB Code is still working just fine. They must have kept backwards compatibility with the old enteronement embeds.

The Hark URL is something like: http://www.hark.com/clips/jclfkhbddn-ducktales

Just put the code before the dash into the BB Code. Example:

jclfkhbddn will produce the player embedded on your site.

Something's fishy because the demo is working for me- that's when I realized it was still working.

Just tried it on Google Chrome and Firefox and neither autostart like it used to. But, when I clicked on the 'loader' bar it starts up. Very strange.

It also is showing at 0:00/0:00 as if there was no file loaded (as in your screenshot) and no 'play' button or anything on the left.

I don't remember them auto starting... In fact I'm pretty sure that would have annoyed the heck out of me... maybe it was a change in the embed code to make them auto play.

For me they load, I can see the title of the clip. If I click on the progress bar it plays as usual.

It isn't much but it works. It's also the only hope of using Hark as a BB Code- that new embed code has too many things that change between clips to make it a BB Code.

Now that I think about it, I had another BBCode for an autostart, you may be right about that. Such a shame about the changes, it'll make a little tougher for folks to realize they can click it and hear it. Oh well. Thanks for checking! :)

You can edit the BB Code to add a line underneath to tell people to click to start... something like:
