Hello everyone, Here is why I named the topic of my thread as such:

I own a forum www.victorylaneforum.com and it is VB 4.0.5 and when I go into the admin cp area it says there is an update available for download (4.0.6) and it says go the members area to download it. So I go to that area and I cannot for the life of me find the update anywhere???? and if one of you kind hearted people can assist me, how do I update my forum?

I come from the SMF world and only since late July did I transfer over. SMF was very limited and I enjoy VB, albeit, it will take many more hours of learning. Thank you in advance for any and all help I receive.

Eric

It's in there, just look a little harder. Should be close to where all the license information is.

It may not be there for him if he only has a vB3 license and it has expired. If you have a vB4 license, then you should be able to go to http://members.vbulletin.com/ and click on the Download vBulletin Forum 4.x button and it should be there. There are articles over on vbulletin.com at the Home tab regarding how to upgrade.

simply install it as you did 4.0.5 you can delete favicon, images, and install.php

then just drag it over your existing files and goto www.yoursite.install/upgrade.php (http://www.yoursite.install/upgrade.php)

easy as pie
