View Full Version : Facebook Photo Album Embed?

I've been looking for months, but I'm not finding any way to create a BBcode for embedded Facebook Photo Albums.
The closest I've come is through using Cooliris and putting a FB album there, but can't quite get it.
I don't even need a slideshow, I'd just like a way to embed an album on vbulletin via bbcode (or any other way for that matter)
Any suggestions out there? I may just have to dig a little deeper and eventually create it on my own like the Flickr, Picasaweb, and Webshots mods I made.

Hard to believe there's not more interest in this. Facebook is the largest photo sharing site now with 500 million users.
Sure, a lot of them are set for Friends Only to view, but a lot of people have their photos public.

Just seen this thread...
Definitely sounds like a fabulous idea, I'd also be interested in knowing more about this.
As you say, bogley FB is a huge monster... full of potential for VB boards..

it will be cool to have an option to embed facebook album within a thread post, with usergroup options

Anyone had any luck with this?? I looked at the 8 way run media but that requires the user to add the URL of the image they want to add. It would be sweet if you could just use the photo albums from your Facebook page directly on your forum..

The new HD quality photo upload would make this one sweet hack, I would and I guess many more would pay for this!

Dose anyone know if there is anyone we can contact to do some custom work on this. I would be willing to pay for the feature of embedding Facebook Images onto my website in the form of a web album?
Like the 8Way run hack!

OK, don't know if this helps anyone out, but I just found this page http://roughgiraffed.com/FBalbum/
Basicly lets you generate a page from your facebook album, found the links here http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=2305272732&topic=6550

I started to try and convert it to bbcode but then realized it will only let you embed your fanpage album to a website, not your personal photo album.

Hmmm, that's a bit strange! I tried to show one of my albums and same as you, I can only get it to show albums on my website page I created on facebook..

Yes, it explains that in the descriptions. That's unfortunate because this could be big.

Well its OK for me as I only want to show Facebook Albums on my website from the affiliated Facebook page and not from my own Facebook wall.
This was the reason I created the Page for the site, shame this hasn't been picked up by anyone, I'm sure there would be a host of donations for this.
