Hi,
I was looking to add a classified ads section to my VB4 site but it seems the only mod I can find is the microclassifieds one that seems to be discontinued. I have looked at photopost classifieds but it is a bit expensive for our small site at this time. I did consider utilising an auction mod instead bt again I could only find a microauction mod that too has been discontinued.
I wondered if anyone knew of an alternative? Or even if there was an external program that could be integrtaed into VB4?

cheers

Brett

Not that I'm aware of. The two you mentioned are pretty much it. MC hasn't been discontinued, but the author is charging for newer versions and support. But be aware it's not a full time job for her, regardless if you pay or not.

When we were small we just used a forum. More work for us, having to delete old threads, etc. but free. We've paid for both PPC and MC at this point but have MC installed. Just seemed more integrated as a vb product.

Im in the same boat.

I was considering using Vbadvanced Dynamics and using their custom fields options to make a marketplace out of it.

I just gave up on MC entirely. Instead of getting it working, now she's off working on a shopping cart.

AFAIK In the last couple years it was taken over by a guy and re-released, but then he had to leave the project, so it's languishing again. There's a whole thread here somewhere.
