Somone gave me the idea yesterday when they posted the thought had crossed their mind.

In theory, If I created a forum that was IE an entire site that was open to spamming could it generate cash from google? Anyone forsee any problems with such a set up?

What would keep your users coming back, though?

I'm not interested in human users.

This is the idea, create a site have all new posts tweeted and open the flood gates so no human verifaction and let the spammers run riot.

Plaster the site in as much Adsense content as possible. This would be just to see if I could create some revenue.

A few years ago i had a test phpBB2 forum installed on my server, about 4 years later i found this installation when cleaning up my directories. The forum had 120,000 posts and thousands of members all non-human spammers lol

Did you have ads set up on the forum?

Interesting theory... do spam bot software 'view' ads? If they work like a search engine spiders the ads would never load, therefore no credit.

Links to bad domains will easily be spotted by google and you could be banned from google without even realizing it

I'm willing to give it a go on a spare domain I have.

Would be curious if it could work... even if it could only bring in $10 a month after expenses there's no reason you couldn't setup 100's of them.

They will ban you. They banned us on two separate occasions on 2 legitimate sites with no virtually no spammer traffic, bad links, or otherwise.

They took about $2000 that we had earned over several slow years of earning pennies per day.

They gave no specific reason, just closed the account, took the money and said that we were suspect to tying to commit click fraud or some other bullshit excuse. Why bother for a couple of cents per day?? If we were trying to rip them off we would want dollars per day!

They are horrible, I will never run their ads again.

dont they send you a cheque after you crack $100? How did it accumulate to $2000 without you getting cheques?

Whats the profit of running a site like that ?? Its just waste of your money and server load.
Do something that is useful buddy. If you really want big post counts, do on RSS, BookMarks like that where users can post their content on your forum.

Yes, as a default minimum, depending on your country.

I elected for electronic payments as those are supported with a USA bank. I set the default payment from $100 to "nothing" (or on demand) or whatever the setting was at the time.

My thinking was to accumulate a large credit and then to spend it on adwords for my own sites or maybe perhaps request a payment.

They took the whole thing and locked the account. When I tried to login I could not view my balance or any other details.

The ads were run on about 20 different sites under the same user ID because I was not thinking or lazy at the time.

If I were running adsense and I were to do it all over again, I would make a unique login for each site that displays the ads, and take the $100 as soon as they give it. That way if one site is banned from their network, you do not loose everything earned on your other sites...not to mention, all the other sites are permanently banned from running ads. What a *****!!!

I had a lot of faith in google as a legit company, and they really screwed me over.

Speaking of Spammer Forums, if your goal is a legitimate forum, and you do not want spammers, look here:

Get rid of spammers on your legitimate forum...

You could try something different could be tricky to enforce though.

If in your registration terms you add something like 'This is a link building forum, created with the purpose of allowing people to advertise. You agree to pay me $100 for each link posted' (translated into legalese) make it very obvious; right at the top of the box. Maybe even add a custom question to the registration form with I agree to pay etc with a checkbox.
