We've all been there... click on a thread, start reading through it, anxiously anticipate joining the discussion only to get about 90% down before you realize it's a 2 year old thread some n00b replied to...
My solution would be a simple HTML banner, maybe red background with white text or whatever above the first post that says:
Warning! You are viewing an old thread.
We could set how old the first post has to be before it's considered old... I'm thinking maybe 3 months but maybe 1year would work better for some people, so the more options the better.
Seems simple enough, any takers? I will personally nominate for MOTM ;)
